Hey everyone! My name is Devery and I live in the Blue Ridge Mountains with too many dogs and one husband. When I’m not sewing, I’m a professor of reading education at our local university. I started this blog because I really like to sew, and I thought it would be a lot of fun to write a blog about sewing. I’ve learned that the blogging part is actually harder than it looks, but I’m trying to get better as I go. I’m also trying really hard to become a bad-ass seamstress. I’ve got a ways to go on this one, but I’m working on it. It’s all a work in progress. Thanks for stopping by!!
Sewing/Embroidery: Bernina 730–I LOVE this machine. Love it so much!!
Serger: Juki 634–This serger is a workhorse. I bought it second-hand from the mom of our technology guy at work. Best money I ever spent.
Coverstitch: Brother Pacesetter–This machine makes me curse a lot!!! It needs to be re-threaded A LOT. However, it gets the job done and it didn’t break the bank.
