Day 34: #100HappyDays

July 6, 2014

Happiness is not making a wadder!! I had some small pieces of fabric left over from my long sleeve t-shirt project, and I don’t know about you, but I hate throwing away the leftovers. Sometimes I try to keep the leftovers in a bin to be used as needed, but that tends to get out of hand for me very quickly. So, I decided to give the tank version of JalieĀ  3245 a try. Please be warned, this is a tank top pattern so you are about to see some pictures of some VERY white arms!! You might want to put on some sunglasses.

I made the pink tie-dye version first and like all other Jalie patterns, this one goes together very easily. It’s a great pattern!

Good lord, look at those arms. I am clearly not a tanner. Even if I wanted to be one, I just can’t do anything but burn, so I don’t do anything at all. I keep telling my husband that my lack of tan would have been prized in the middle ages. I don’t actually know if that’s true, but it kinda makes me feel better.

After the pink tie-dye, I tried one out of the hot-pink swimsuit fabric, and of course I decided to add a little Urban Threads embroidery. I predict that in a year’s time, all of my clothes will have Urban Threads embroidery!!! Maybe all the embroidery will distract people away from my lack of tan!!

If you are looking for a super easy, super quick tank with a cool hemline, Jalie 3245 is your girl!! Love her!!

Well, your arms may have no tan, but they have nice tone!
