The Edgar Allen Poe Table Runner
This table runner is kind of like a perfect storm. First, I should explain that I grew up in Baltimore, and have a serious fondness for all things Baltimore (including The Wire, but that is another post all together.) Second, I recently acquired a new sewing machine that embroiders. Third, Halloween is approaching. Finally, and perhaps most imporatantly, Urban Threads is having a sale. These four variables have come together with just the right timing to produce the Edgar Allen Poe Table Runner! I know it’s not your standard Halloween decoration, but I really do love it. Plus, I can bust it back out on Poe’s birthday!!
Once upon a midnight dreary, while I pondered, weak and weary,
Over many a quaint and curious volume of forgotten lore—
While I nodded, nearly napping, suddenly there came a tapping,
As of some one gently rapping, rapping at my chamber door—
“‘Tis some visitor,” I muttered, “tapping at my chamber door—
Only this and nothing more.”
