Snow Day

January 6, 2014

We had a snow-day today in Boonetowne. As I type this, it’s 2 degrees outside, with a windchill of negative 18 degrees. It’s cold, and although we live in the mountains where we are used to cold weather, we’re not used to cold like this. This was day that called for comfort and warmth, and nothing says comfort and warmth like Jalie 2682 made out of Polartec 200 weight fleece. You know I love this pattern and of course I love fleece, so this was a win-win for me. For the sake of variety, I added some Urban Threads embroidery. Ta da!!!

Hi my name is Katen Orsua. I live in California and consider myself to be an advanced beginning sewer.

I did not enter the RTW fast but am following a few of you brave fasters and living vicariously :). I am committing to a garment a month and will try for more. Then if there is another fast next year I am promising myself I will join. I don’t feel like I am productive enough right but it’s probably like muscles you just have to build them up . So this year I will build my sewing muscles.

I love the pattern. I am not familiar with Urrban Threads but it looks very cool.

I look forward to see your work
